The Feature
Ginger runs through both halves of this set and behaves differently in each. The candle is the sweet one: lemon, lime and wild red currant over strawberry, red apple and tea leaf, settling into vanilla, amber and warm ginger root. The diffuser is the clean one: bitter orange, bergamot and crushed tea leaves over cardamom, pepper and fresh ginger flower, settling into soft woods, rose and clean amber.
The candle. Zesty lemon, wild strawberry, warm ginger root. Soy and beeswax, hand poured in small batches, in a matte cream ceramic vessel made to be kept long after the last burn. Lively without tipping sweet.
The diffuser. Crushed tea leaves, spicy ginger flower, clean amber. No flame and no upkeep beyond turning the reeds. Clarifying rather than heavy.
The Ọ̀nà tools. Wick trimmer, snuffer and wick aligner, in bronze or black, so the candle burns clean and evenly from first light to last.
The Ọ̀nà coaster. Solid walnut, lipped to hold the vessel steady, and the thing the candle stands on in every photograph.
Four pieces, bought together. This is the set for a room you want to feel open and easy to breathe in: a bright kitchen in the morning, a bathroom you have just cleaned, a bedroom that needs the day taken out of it.
